Abstract : Efforts to address environmental concerns have resulted in new regulations designed to plan the reduction of plastic and synthetic polymer usage, necessitating the search for sustainable natural alternatives with comparable cost-effectiveness and mechanical performance. Thermomechanical pulp (TMP) fibres are one of the most affordable natural fibres that have no chemical refining in production, production have a high yield of 90-98% and TMP fibres have been demonstrated to improve the mechanical characteristics (strength, stiffness and toughness) of wood-polymer composites (WPCs) compared to the pure polymer. Abstract : Since the outbreak of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the 1980s, the disease has cost the lives of over 30 million people, and a further 33 million are currently living with the HIV infection. With the appropriate treatment, HIV/AIDS can today be regarded as a chronic but manageable disease. READ MORE

  3. 3. From Facets to Flow: The Electrooxidation of Glycerol on Pd-based catalysts

Abstract : Anno 2023, mankind must strive towards a more sustainable chemical industry; one that does not solely rely on fossil fuels but also utilises renewable feedstocks such as biomass. Biomass can be catalytically converted into commodity chemicals such as aromatics, through intermediates like furans. READ MORE

  5. 5. Porous Polymeric Monoliths by Less Common Pathways : Preparation and Characterization

Author : Ahmed Elhaj; Knut Irgum; Sebastiaan Eeltink; Umeå universitet; []
