11. Large Eddy Simulation of Turbulent Swirling Flows and Turbulent Premixed Combustion
Abstract : With the increasing concerns about our environment and human health, more and more stringent emission limits have been specified. These adopted and still coming emission limits require and promote more accurate, less experiential methods to design and develop the combustors. READ MORE

12. Multi-platform metabolomics assays to study the responsiveness of the human plasma and lung lavage metabolome
Abstract : Metabolomics as a field has been used to track changes and perturbations in the human body by investigating metabolite profiles indicating the change of metabolite levels over time and in response to different challenges. In this thesis work, the main focus was on applying multiplatform-metabolomics to study the human metabolome following exposure to perturbations, such as diet (in the form of a challenge meal) and exhaust emissions (air pollution exposure in a controlled setting). 13. Modelling of Electric Arc Welding : arc-electrode coupling
Abstract : Arc welding still requires deeper process understanding and more accurateprediction of the heat transferred to the base metal. This can be provided by CFD modelling. Most works done to model arc discharge using CFD consider the arc corealone. READ MORE

14. Numerical Simulation as a Tool for Studying Waves and Radiation in Space
Abstract : Plasma physics governs the area of interactions between charged particles. As 99% of the visible universe is in a plasma state, it is an important topic in astronomy and space physics, where we already at an altitude of 60 km reach the plasma environment surrounding our planet in the form of the ionosphere. 15. Turbulence and scalar flux modelling applied to separated flows
Abstract : The turbulen flow in an asymmetric diffuser has been en studied by the means of Reynold average Navier-Stokes equations with both differential and explict algebraic expressions to model the Reynolds stress tensor. Modifications to the differential stress model have been derived, using the inverse turbulence timescale to obtain the dissipation of turbuence kinetic energy. READ MORE
