6. Force Budget Analysis of Glacier Flow : Ice Dynamical Studies on Storglaciären, Sweden, and Ice Flow Investigations of Outlet Glaciers in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica
Abstract : This thesis contributes to the understanding of glacier response to climate change by ice dynamical studies on Storglaciären, Sweden, and Bonnevie-Svendsenbreen, Kibergbreen and Plogbreen in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica. Ice surface velocities, ice geometry and temperature information is fed through a force budget model to calculate ice mass outflux of these glacial systems via three-dimensional stress distributions for a flux-gate. 7. Ultrasonic Quantification of Skeletal Muscle Dynamics : Feasibility and Limitations
Abstract : Pain and disorders of the human skeletal muscles are one of the most common reasons for medical consultations in the western countries today and there is a great need to improve both the understanding and treatment of several different muscular conditions.Techniques describing the muscle function in vivo are often limited by either their invasiveness or lack of spatial resolution. 8. Gas Metal Arc Melt Pool Modelling : Effect of welding position and electromagnetic force mode
Abstract : Gas metal arc is a high-efficiency and widely used heat source for metal processing applied predominantly in welding and additive manufacturing. In this study, it was applied to welding. READ MORE

9. Concentrated DNA-amphiphiles Structure, Hydration, and Dynamics
Abstract : The structure, hydration, and dynamics of concentrated DNA-amphiphile complexes were investigated by small-angle X-ray diffraction, sorption calorimetry, and nuclear magnetic resonance. A concentrated, electroneutral, DNA-amphiphile complex can be formed by mixing charge-stoichiometric solutions. READ MORE

10. Investigating nano-scale viscous and elastic forces withintermodulation : Studies in multifrequency atomic force microscopy
Abstract : Investigating visco-elastic forces at the nanometer-scale is important to thecharacterization of soft materials. A quantitative force measurement can be ob-tained using an atomic force microscope (AFM) with a calibrated force transducer(the AFM cantilever). READ MORE
