1. Downstream effects of master regulators in two brain diseases
Abstract : In paper one, we investigated how the pharmacological activation and inhibition of the glucocorticoid system affects lifespan and symptoms in a mouse model for RTT. We performed a long-term drug treatment study with the GR activator corticosterone and the GR inhibitor RU486 under which we measured the lifespan and onset of RTT-like symptoms of male Mecp2-null and female Mecp2 heterozygous mice in comparison to untreated mutant and to treated and untreated wild-type animals. 2. Testing palaeomagnetic and 14C based geochronological methods in the Baltic Sea
Abstract : The Baltic Sea is a continental shelf sea that is influenced by both river runoff and marine water. The two water masses are vertically stratified in the Baltic Sea, resulting in a positive, estuarine circulation system, which has undergone changes in the past due to isostatic uplift of the Baltic basin. 3. Processing Methods for Reaching Full Density Powder Metallurgical Materials
Abstract : Powder metallurgy (PM) is one of the most cost effective methods for manufacturing structural components with complex shapes. Utilisation of the metal powder to shape the components allows to minimise material waste and increase energy efficiency. READ MORE

4. Novel approaches for achieving full density powder metallurgy steels
Abstract : Powder metallurgy (PM) is one of the most resource-efficient methods for manufacturing structural components with complex shapes. The utilisation of the metal powder to shape the components allows to minimise material waste and increase energy efficiency. READ MORE

5. Neutron Multiplicity Counting with the Analysis of Continuous Detector Signals
Abstract : Neutron multiplicity counting is a non-destructive assay method for determining the mass of fissile materials (primarily plutonium) using the measured values of the singles, doubles and triples detection rates. Traditionally, the detection rates are obtained from the counting statistics of neutron detectors. READ MORE
