1. Morphisms of real calculi from a geometric and algebraic perspective
Abstract : Noncommutative geometry has over the past four of decades grown into a rich field of study. Novel ideas and concepts are rapidly being developed, and a notable application of the theory outside of pure mathematics is quantum theory. READ MORE

2. CFD-based Analysis of Combustion Processes in a Free-Piston Diesel Engine
Abstract : The Free Piston Engine (FPE) which is capable of operating in a variable compression ratio mode, allows flexible auto-ignition control on a cycle-to-cycle basis without any hardware modifications. In this study combustion processes in an FPE were examined using the KIVA-3V CFD code with detailed chemical kinetics (305 reactions among 70 species) of a Diesel surrogate fuel incorporated. 3. Simple Modules over Lie Algebras
Abstract : Simple modules are the elemental components in representation theory for Lie algebras, and numerous mathematicians have worked on their construction and classification over the last century. This thesis consists of an introduction together with four research articles on the subject of simple Lie algebra modules. READ MORE

4. High Power Radio Frequency Solid-State Amplifiers and Combiners for Particle Accelerators : From module to system design approach
Abstract : The rise of Big Science projects brings issues related to the energy consumption and the associated environmental impacts of such large-scale facilities. Therefore, environmentally-sustainable developments are undertaken towards the adoption of energy savings and improved energy-efficient approaches. READ MORE

5. Module categories, internal bimodules and Tambara modules
Abstract : We use the theory of Tambara modules to extend and generalize the reconstruction theorem for module categories over a rigid monoidal category to the non-rigid case. We show a biequivalence between the 2-category of cyclic module categories over a monoidal category C and the bicategory of algebra and bimodule objects in the category of Tambara modules on C .
