  1. 1. High quality frequency modulated halftoning

    Author : Sasan Gooran; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The fact that most printing devices, such as laser printers, are restricted to very few colors has led to an increased interest in finding efficient techniques that transform a continuoustone image into a binary one. Such techniques are referred to as halftoning methods. READ MORE

  2. 2. On low-complexity frequency selective digital filters and filter banks

    Author : Linnea Rosenbaum; Håkan Johansson; Tapio Saramäki; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Digital filters; filter banks; modulated; FRM; Electronics; Elektronik;

    Abstract : En filterbank består av flera filter som arbetar tillsammans för att dela upp en signal i olika frekvensband. De kan också användas för att slå ihop signaler separerade i frekvensplanet till en enda. Sedan tidigt 70-tal har man lärt sig att designa förlustfria filterbankar som alltså inte introducerar några som helst fel i systemet. READ MORE

  3. 3. Modeling and Control of Voltage Source Converters Connected to the Grid

    Author : Michael Lindgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; voltage source converter; switching frequency; pulse width modulation; IGBT valve; power electronics; small-signal; L-filter; LCL-filter; transfer function; line filter; active filtering; frequency response; sampling frequency;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with the modeling and control of pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage source converters connected to the grid. When voltage source converters are connected to the grid, the power quality and the dynamic performance are affected by the line filter connected between the converter and the grid, and by nonlinearities caused by the switching converter. 4. 4. Radio Frequency Power Amplifiers : Behavioral Modeling, Parameter Reduction, and Digital Predistortion

    Author : Magnus Isaksson; Peter Händel; José C. Pedro; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation; Electronics;

    Abstract : This work considers behavioral modeling, parameter-reduction, and digital predistortion of radio frequency power amplifiers. Due to the use of modern digital modulation methods, contemporary power amplifiers are frequently subjected to signals characterized by considerable bandwidths and fast changing envelopes. READ MORE

  5. 5. Further development of NICE-OHMS : – an ultra-sensitive frequency-modulated cavity-enhanced laser-based spectroscopic
 technique for detection of molecules in gas phase

    Author : Patrick Ehlers; Ove Axner; Joakim Bood; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NICE-OHMS; Frequency Modulation; Cavity Enhancement; Molecular Spectroscopy; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : Noise-immune cavity-enhanced optical heterodyne molecular spectroscopy, NICE-OHMS, is a laser-based spectroscopic detection technique that comprises the concepts of frequency modulation (FM, for reduction of 1/f-noise by detecting the signal at a high frequency) and cavity enhancement (CE, for a prolongation of the optical path length) in a unique way. Properly designed, this gives the technique an intrinsic immunity against the frequency-to-noise conversion that limits many other types of CE techniques. READ MORE
