21. Complementary feeding based on Nordic foods : effects on nutrient intake, growth, biomarkers and eating behavior
Abstract : Background: Early nutrition is fundamental to growth and development. Infants develop long lasting food preferences very early in life from food exposures when the brain is impressionable and sensory pathways are receptive. READ MORE

22. The spatial and temporal dynamics of plant-animal interactions in the forest herb Actaea spicata
Abstract : Landscape effects on species performance currently receives much attention. Habitat loss and fragmentation are considered major threats to species diversity. Deciduous forests in southern Sweden are previous wooded pastures that have become species-rich communities appearing as islands in agricultural landscapes, varying in species composition. READ MORE

23. Preharvest Conditions Affecting Apple Quality, Antioxidant Responses and Susceptibility to the Infection by Grey mould (Botrytis cinerea)
Abstract : Apple fruits are rich in vitamin C and other antioxidants, which are beneficial for human health. During postharvest storage, there are losses as a result of diseases such as grey mould, caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea. The present work has investigated how to obtain a high quality of apples, allowing long-term storage. READ MORE

24. Evolution and biodiversity of the Ixoroideae (Rubiaceae)
Abstract : The phylogenetic relationships within subfamily Ixoroideae of the coffee family are investigated by phylogenetic reconstruction of molecular data, including regions of the chloroplast DNA (matK, ndhF, rbcL, rps16, trnH-psbA, trnS-G, and trnT-F), and the nuclear ribosomal DNA (ITS). The evolution of morphological characters within the group are inferred, with focus on characters used in classification. READ MORE

25. Genetic variation in resistance to fungal storage diseases in apple : inoculation-based screening, transcriptomics and biochemistry
Abstract : Apple is one of the economically and culturally most important fruit crops and has many health-related benefits. Apple production is, however, sensitive to several fungal diseases including blue mold, caused by Penicillium expansum. READ MORE
