  2. 2. Real-Time Communication over Switched Ethernet with Resource Reservation

    Author : Mohammad Ashjaei; Thomas Nolte; Moris Behnam; Luis Almeida; Thilo Sauter; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Real-time communication; Response time analysis; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Due to the need for advanced computer-controlled functionality in distributed embedded systems the requirements on network communication are becoming overly intricate. This dissertation targets the requirements that are concerned with real-time guarantees, run-time adaptation, resource utilization and flexibility during the development. READ MORE

  3. 3. Multi-Hop Real-Time Communication over Switched Ethernet Technology

    Author : Mohammad Ashjaei; Thomas Nolte; Moris Behnam; Jean-Luc Scharbarg; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Switched Ethernet technology has been introduced to be exploited in real-time communication systems due to its features such as its high throughput and wide availability, hence being a cost-effective solution. Many real-time switched Ethernet protocols have been developed, preserving the profits of traditional Ethernet technology, to overcome the limitations imposed by using commercially available (COTS) switches. 4. 4. Organics in hydrothermal fluids from ultramafic-hosted vents of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge

    Author : cecile konn; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : hydrothermal; organics; serpentinization; origin of life;

    Abstract : The process of serpentinization at slow spreading ridges is due to the circulation of seawater through outcropping mantle rocks. The peridotites of the mantle are altered via fluid-rock interaction generating, in the presence of Fe bearing minerals, high CH4- and H2-concentrations in the water column. READ MORE

  5. 5. Origin of organic compounds in fluids from ultramafic-hosted hydrothermal vents of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge

    Author : Cécile Konn; Nils Holm; Jean-Luc Charlou; Barbara Sherwood Lollar; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Serpentinisation; hydrocarbons; organic compounds; ultramafic; hydrothermal; geochemistry; origin of life; Other earth sciences; Övrig geovetenskap; Other chemistry; Övrig kemi; Exogenous geochemistry; Exogen geokemi; geokemi; Geochemistry;

    Abstract : Natural gas, primarily methane (CH4), is produced in substantial amounts in ultramafic-hosted hydrothermal systems. These systems could also generate oil (heavier hydrocarbons) and the first building blocks of life (prebiotic molecules). In the presence of iron bearing minerals, serpentinisation reactions generate H2. READ MORE
