21. Fiber optic parametric amplifiers in single and multi wavelength applications
Abstract : This thesis describes fiber optical parametricamplifiers (FOPAs) used in single- and multi-wavelength channel applications. The FOPA was operated as a pulse source in optical transmission systems at bit rates of 10-160 Gb/s. It was evaluated in terms of bit error rate after transmission with link lengths up to 650 km. READ MORE

22. Role of oxytocin in glucose homeostasis and weight gain
Abstract : The overall aim of this thesis was to study metabolic functions of oxytocin in particular in relation to glucose, insulin and glucagon. Application of oxytocin locally in the pancreas (microdialysis technique) increased insulin (RIA) and glucagon (RIA) release. READ MORE

23. Found speech and humans in the loop : Ways to gain insight into large quantities of speech
Abstract : Found data - data used for something other than the purpose for which it was originally collected - holds great value in many regards. It typically reflects high ecological validity, a strong cultural worth, and there are significant quantities at hand. However, it is noisy, hard to search through, and its contents are often largely unknown. READ MORE

24. Fuzzy gain scheduled visual servoing for an unmanned helicopter
Abstract : The overall objective of the Wallenberg Laboratory for Information Technology and Autonomous Systems (WITAS) at Linkoping University is the development of an intelligent command and control system, containing active-vision sensors, which supports the operation of an unmanned air vehicle (UAV). One of the UA V platforms of choice is the R5O unmanned helicopter, by Yamaha. READ MORE

25. Characterization of Terminal Antennas for Diversity and MIMO Systems by Theory, Simulations and Measurements in Reverberation Chamber
Abstract : This thesis is based on the work of designing and building a small reverberation chamber, and to use this chamber for characterization of antennas on mobile terminals such as phones. The characterization is done in terms of radiation efficiency, diversity gain and maximum available capacity. READ MORE
