1. The Stollberg ore field - petrography, lithogeochemistry, mineral chemistry, and ore formation
Abstract : The Paleoproterozoic Fe-Pb-Zn-Mn(-Ag) Stollberg deposit is situated in the Bergslagen region of south-central Sweden. 6.65 Mt of sphalerite, galena and manganiferous skarn magnetite ore occur as disseminations and semi-massive to massive ore bodies hosted by volcanogenic sediments and carbonate rocks. 3. Geochronology of the Oklo and Bangombé fossil natural fission reactors : tracing the effects of geological events
Abstract : Thesis to be publicly defended for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, in lecture room De Geersalen, Svante Arrhenius väg 8a, Stockholm, Friday February 1, 2002 at 10.00 am. Two billion years ago, natural fission reactions took place in the Oklo and Bangombé uranium ores in Gabon, West Equatorial Africa. READ MORE

4. Dipolar recoupling sequences in 13C and 31P nuclear magnetic resonance studies of mineral surfaces
Abstract : Solid state magic angle spinning (MAS) 31P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments, both cross polarization (CP) and dipole-dipole recoupling, were used as tools in the investigation of the reaction products at the surface of synthetic galena (PbS) mineral and O,O'-dialkyldithiophosphate potassium salts. Various dipole-dipole recoupling sequences have been tested on powder glycine-13C2 NMR and a polycrystalline powder sample of O,O'-diethyldithiophosphate2-Ni(II) to find one or several sequences suitable for the surface experiments. 5. Flotation chemistry of complex sulphide ores : recycling of process water and flotation selectivity
Abstract : Recycling of flotation effluents through the ore processing plant is one of the ways of reducing both plant-operating costs and industrial impact onto the local ecosystem. Such waters named acid mine drainage (AMD), if discharged from sulphide flotation are gypsum (CaSO4.H2O) saturated and have a high salinity (on the order of 1000 ppm). READ MORE
