11. Aroma Partition and Release from Soft Drinks, Jam, and Jellied Sweets
Abstract : The research described in the present thesis was focused on the influence of food ingredients and structures on the partition and release of aroma compounds from model systems such as soft drinks, jam, and jellied sweets. The effects on aroma release were studied during both static and dynamic conditions, the latter by both model mouth and in-nose measurements. READ MORE

12. Protein-Surfactant Interactions Phase Behaviour and Phase Structure
Abstract : Protein-surfactant interactions in water are investigated by following the phase equilibria for protein-surfactant pairs whose constituents carry both opposite and the same sign of charge. The concentration ranges studied are: 0-20 wt% protein, 0-20 wt% surfactant, and 80-100 wt% water. READ MORE

13. Interaction between Crosslinked Polyelectrolyte Gels and Oppositely Charged Surfactants
Abstract : The interactions between anionic, crosslinked gels and cationic surfactants have been investigated. When exposed to oppositely charged surfactant, the gel collapses into a dense complex of polyion and micelles. READ MORE

14. Diffusion studies in gels using holographic laser interferometry
Abstract : This thesis is an investigation of the potential of holographic laser interferometry for the study of diffusion of both small solutes and macromolecules. An investigation on the importance of errors due to light deflection in refarctive index gradients showed that the magnitude of the refractive index gradients were negligible for the system investigated. 15. Polymer extraction and utilization of brown algal biomass
Abstract : Aquaculture is a field with a world changing potential. The areas at sea are enormous and aquatic cultivations impact both the environment and local ecology far less than land based cultivations. In the realm of algae, abundancies exists of nutrition, water and accessible sunlight, but there is constant shortage of places to dwell. READ MORE
