1. Studies in Glacier Mass Balance : Measurement and its errors
Abstract : The study of the surface mass balance of valley glaciers has a long history but one that is dogged by uncertainty and errors, and uncertainty about those errors. These problems are acknowledged by the glaciological community and have been examined and formalised in several publications. READ MORE

2. Force Budget Analysis of Glacier Flow : Ice Dynamical Studies on Storglaciären, Sweden, and Ice Flow Investigations of Outlet Glaciers in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica
Abstract : This thesis contributes to the understanding of glacier response to climate change by ice dynamical studies on Storglaciären, Sweden, and Bonnevie-Svendsenbreen, Kibergbreen and Plogbreen in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica. Ice surface velocities, ice geometry and temperature information is fed through a force budget model to calculate ice mass outflux of these glacial systems via three-dimensional stress distributions for a flux-gate. 3. Stability of the free-surface problem arising in ice-sheet- and glacier modeling : Numerical investigation and stabilization
Abstract : This thesis consists of two papers dealing with a stabilization method for free-surface flows. The method was initially developed to stabilize mantle-convection simulations, but is in this work extended to ice-sheet- and glacier modeling. READ MORE

4. Glaciers and climate in northern Sweden during the 19th and 20th century
Abstract : Our understanding of the climate of northern Sweden during the late Holocene is largely dependent on proxy-data series. These datasets remain spatially and temporally sparse and instrumental series are rare prior to the mid 19th century. READ MORE

5. Modelling calving and sliding of Svalbard outlet glaciers : Spatio-temporal changes and interactions
Abstract : Future sea level rise associated to global warming is one of the greatest societal and environmental challenges of tomorrow. A large part of the contribution comes from glaciers and ice sheets discharging ice and meltwater into the ocean and the recent worldwide increase is worrying. READ MORE
