  1. 1. Integrated pedestrian safety assessment methodology

    Author : Nils Lübbe; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; assessment; driver behavior; comfort zone boundary; integrated safety; pedestrian; Forward Collision Warning; False Positive;

    Abstract : Pedestrian fatalities and injuries are a concern in many regions. Passive safety assessment is well established, and additional active safety assessment has recently emerged. However, assessment methods reflecting on the interaction between active and passive safety do not exist in regulatory or consumer testing. READ MORE

  2. 2. Formative assessment and problem solving in mathematics

    Abstract : Urbanization is a global phenomenon, happening on a massive scale and at a rapid rate, with 68% of the planet’s population predicted to be living in cities by 2050 (UN-DESA, 2018). The sustainability of a city (Goal 11 of UN SDGs) undergoing rapid urbanization depends on its ability to maintain a low consumption of resources and materials at any given time (referred to as the urban metabolic rate), whilst simultaneously providing essential municipal services to its inhabitants, such as a water supply, wastewater treatment and solid waste management. 4. 4. Towards an assessment of safety and security interplay in automated driving systems

    Author : Martin Skoglund; Hans Hansson; Sasikumar Punnekkat; Fredrik Warg; Georg Macher; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Functional Safety; Cybersecurity; Automotive; Automated Drivning; Assessment; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : We are currently in the midst of significant changes in the road transport system, including the transformation to fossil-free propulsion and the shift to higher levels of automation. The next level in automation is soon upon us and is encompassed by the broader term Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) which is relevant for the entire transportation system.
