6. Unravelling Consistent Spin-2 Interactions
Abstract : Recently, a unique formulation of a classically consistent theory of massive spin-2 fields has emerged. In this thesis I address a few of the primary questions that arise once such a theory is available. READ MORE

7. Steady waves in local and nonlocal models for water waves
Abstract : We study the steady Euler equations for inviscid, incompressible, and irrotational water waves of constant density. The thesis consists of three papers. The first paper approaches the Euler equations through a famous nonlocal model equation for gravity waves, namely the Whitham equation. READ MORE

8. Spectral/hp Discontinuous Galerkin Methods for Computational Hydraulics
Abstract : We present the concept of spectral/hp element methods, i.e. finite element methods of arbitrarily (high) polynomial order, and apply the methods to computational hydraulics. READ MORE

9. Eulerian Numerical Study of the Sedimentation of Fibre Suspensions
Abstract : Sedimenting suspensions exist in a varity of natural phenomena and industrial applications. It is already observed in experiments that the dilute fibre suspensions experience a hydrodynamics instability under gravity at low Reynolds numbers. Initially well-mixed suspensions become inhomogeneous and anisotropic due to this instability. READ MORE

10. Gravitational waves from primordial magnetic sources
Abstract : This licentiate thesis gives an overview of modified gravity and primordial magnetic fields, bridged by gravitational waves (GWs) as a phenomenological probe of both sectors.First we derive the GW equation in a homogeneous and isotropic background from general relativity. READ MORE
