  1. 1. Harmonic measures

    Author : Jonatan Vasilis; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; harmonic measure; square root of the Poisson kernel; Hardy space; p-Laplace operator; random walk; regular tree; discrete minimal thinness; Hardy space;

    Abstract : This thesis uses both analytic and probabilistic methods to study continuous and discrete problems. The main areas of study are the asymptotic properties of p-harmonic measure, and various aspects of the square root of the Poisson kernel. Fix a domain and a boundary point, subject to certain regularity conditions. READ MORE

  2. 2. On some topics in operator theory : An unfinished story about mathematical control

    Author : Eskil Rydhe; Harmonic Analysis and Applications; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Carleson embeddings; complex analysis; control theory; functional models; Hankel operators; harmonic analysis; operator theory; Triebel–Lizorkin spaces; vector-valued analytic functions;

    Abstract : This thesis considers differentiation of non-negative, fractional order, composed with Hardy spacetypeHankel operators. H2-boundedness is characterized in terms of a reproducing kernel thesis. READ MORE

  3. 3. Topics in Potential Theory: Quadrature Domains, Balayage and Harmonic Measure

    Author : Tomas Sjödin; Björn Gustafsson; Stephen Gardiner; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mathematical analysis; Quadrature Domain; Balayage; Harmonic measure; Martin boundary; Matematisk analys; Mathematical analysis; Analys;

    Abstract : In this thesis, which consists of five papers (A,B,C,D,E), we are interested in questions related to quadrature domains. Among the problems studied are the possibility of changing the type of measure in a quadrature identity (from complex to real and from real signed to positive), properties of partial balayage, which in a sense can be used to generate quadrature domains, and mother bodies which are closely related to inversion of partial balayage. 4. 4. Control and Analysis of Pulse-Modulated Systems

    Author : Stefan Almér; Ulf Jönsson; Gilead Tadmor; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pulse-width modulation; Periodic systems; Stability analysis; Harmonic analysis; Lyapunov methods; Dynamic phasors; Harmonic transfer function; Switched mode power converters; Sampled data modeling; H-infinity synthesis; Optimization; systems theory; Optimeringslära; systemteori;

    Abstract : The thesis consists of an introduction and four appended papers. In the introduction we give an overview of pulse-modulated systems and provide a few examples of such systems. Furthermore, we introduce the so-called dynamic phasor model which is used as a basis for analysis in two of the appended papers. READ MORE
