    Abstract : During face-to-face meetings, humans use multimodal information, including verbal information, visual information, body language, facial expressions, and other non-verbal gestures. In contrast, during computer-mediated-communication (CMC), humans rely either on mono-modal information such as text-only, voice-only, or video-only or on bi-modal information by using audiovisual modalities such as video teleconferencing. 3. 3. Evaluation and Reduction of Temporal Issues in Remote VR

    Author : Viktor Kelkkanen; Markus Fiedler; Hans-Juergen Zepernick; Veronica Sundstedt; Pablo Cesar; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Remote Rendering VR Network; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to study and advance knowledge and technologies surrounding remote rendering of Virtual Reality (VR). In particular regarding temporal aspects such as latency and video stalling events. In remote rendering, rendered content is commonly streamed as video images in network packets from a server to a client. READ MORE

  4. 4. Active Control of Propeller-Induced Noise in Aircraft : Algorithms & Methods

    Author : Sven Johansson; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; active control of sound; active noise control; anc; actuator individual normalized filtered-x lms; filtered-x lms algorithm; newton algorithm; complex lms; multireference algorithm; leaky lms; control effort weighting; feedforward control; feedback contro;

    Abstract : In the last decade acoustic noise has become more and more regarded as a problem. In cars, boats, trains and aircraft, low-frequency noise reduces comfort. Lightweight materials and more powerful engines are used in high-speed vehicles, resulting in a general increase in interior noise levels. READ MORE
