2. Heavy-Duty Vehicle Platooning : Modeling and Analysis
Abstract : Coupled with the growth of world economy, the demand for freight transport has escalated and will continue to do so. As the traffic intensity increases, the pressure on infrastructure, energy usage and environment becomes higher than ever. Meanwhile, the number of traffic accidents is also increasing year by year as a result. READ MORE

3. DME Combustion in Heavy Duty Diesel Engines
Abstract : Interest in alternative energy and fuels has grown considerably in recent years due to increasing concern about the adverse effects of global warming, the limited sources of non-renewable feedstocks, the insecurity of their supply and associated fluctuations in their prices. However, although there is an urgent, and widely recognized, need to address these issues, selecting suitable candidate feedstocks and fuels is far from straightforward, since numerous factors must be considered when selecting promising candidates for further evaluation and, ultimately, commercial use. 5. Deactivation of emission control catalysts for heavy-duty vehicles : Impact of biofuel and lube oil-derived contaminants
Abstract : Catalytic emission control is used to reduce the negative impact of pollutants from diesel exhausts on our health and on the environment. For a heavy-duty truck, such a system consists of a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), a diesel particulate filter (DPF), a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst, and an ammonia slip catalyst (ASC).
