21. High Aspect Ratio Microstructures in Flexible Printed Circuit Boards : Process and Applications
Abstract : Flexible printed circuit boards (flex PCBs) are used in a wide range of electronic devices today due to their light weight, bendability, extensive wiring possibilities, and low-cost manufacturing techniques. The general trend in the flex PCB industry is further miniaturization alongside increasing functionality per device and reduced costs. READ MORE

22. Luminescence of Silicon Nanoparticles Synthesized by Ion Implantation
Abstract : Silicon nanoparticles (SiNPs) have been shown to display luminescence in the visible range with a peak wavelength depending on the nanoparticle size. This finding is of potential interest for integration of optoelectronic devices in semiconductor technology. READ MORE

23. The solar wind protons inside the induced magnetosphere of Mars
Abstract : Mars is an unmagnetized planet. Mars has no intrinsic magnetic field but has local magnetic anomalies in the crust. The solar wind, which is the plasma flowing from the Sun at supersonic speed, interacts with the magnetic fields of the currents induced in the conductive Martian ionosphere, deviates and slows down to subsonic speeds. 24. Laser-Driven Plasma Waves for Particle Acceleration and X-ray Production
Abstract : This thesis presents experimental results related to laser plasma accelerators. These rely on very different principles from conventional particle accelerators. READ MORE

25. Solar wind ions inside the induced magnetosphere of Mars
Abstract : The subject of the thesis is analysis and modeling of the entry, transport, and atmospheric precipitation of solar wind ions, H+ and He2+, into the induced magnetosphere of Mars. The solar wind is a flow of charged particles emitted by the Sun. The solar wind carries with it a magnetic field, the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF). READ MORE
