  1. 16. Molecular beam study of non-adiabatic electron transfer in the Cl2+Ksurf surface reaction

    Author : Lars Hellberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; harpooning; electron transfer; Cl2; surface; exo-electrons; sticking; halogen; non-adiabatic; chemiluminescence;

    Abstract : Halogen molecules impinging on alkali metal surfaces constitute model systems for studies of charge transfer, dissociation dynamics and non-adiabatic energy dissipation in molecule-surface reactions. This thesis reports emission of exo-electrons and photons from the surface as a result of strong non-adabaticity in the Cl2 gas on K$^{solid}$ reaction. READ MORE

  2. 17. Effects of Pregnancy and Hormones on T cell Immune Regulation in Multiple Sclerosis

    Author : Sandra Hellberg; Jan Ernerudh; Maria Jenmalm; Magnus Vrethem; Jan Brynhildsen; Tomas Olsson; Manuel Friese; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by a dysregulated immune system leading to chronic inflammation in the central nervous system. Despite increasing number of treatments, many patients continue to deteriorate. READ MORE

  3. 18. The Biopolitics of Water: Technology, Subjectivity and Lifestyle in eThekwini Municipality, South Africa

    Author : Sofie Hellberg; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Water; South Africa; Sustainable Development; Biopolitics; Green Governmentality; Hydropolitics; Technology; Narrative method; Life style ; Subjectivity;

    Abstract : Water issues have for a long time been of central political concern in South Africa due to the scarcity of the resource. During the apartheid era, the distribution of water was deeply intertwined with a nationalist and racist agenda. READ MORE

  4. 19. Investigations of the breakup dynamics of small molecular ions recombining with electrons

    Author : Fredrik Hellberg; Mats Larsson; Robert Continetti; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Molecular physics; Molekylfysik;

    Abstract : Dissociative recombination is the process in which a molecular ion recombines with an electron and then fragments into neutral products. This process has been studied in many experiments over the years at the ion storage ring CRYRING at the Manne Siegbahn Laboratory, Stockholm University. READ MORE

  5. 20. Oxygen-dependent regulation of key components in microbial chlorate respiration

    Author : Miriam Hellberg Lindqvist; Thomas Nilsson; Stefan Nordlund; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Anaerobic respiration; Gene expression; Chlorate; Chlorate reductase; Chlorite dismutase; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Abstract : Contamination of perchlorate and chlorate in nature is primarily the result of various industrial processes. The microbial respiration of these oxyanions of chlorine plays a major role in reducing the society’s impact on the environment. READ MORE
