  1. 21. Improving the Efficiency of Gas Engines using Pre-chamber Ignition

    Author : Ashish Shah; Förbränningsmotorer; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ignition system; high efficiency; pre-chamber ignition; natural gas; Internal combusiton engines;

    Abstract : The aim of this project is to explore and understand the combustion phenomenon in engines operating on gaseous fuels, and develop technologies as an alternative to the present diesel engine technologies for heavy duty applications; which are facing severe challenges like stringent emissions norms, high technology costs and unsustainable fuel supply. The studies presented in this thesis focus on the application of pre-chamber ignition system in heavy duty natural gas engines, as a means to improve fuel efficiency and reduce NOx emissions. 2. 22. High-Quality Perovskite Films for Efficient and Stable Light-Emitting Diodes

    Author : Heyong Wang; Feng Gao; Olle Inganäs; Xiaoke Liu; Ifor David William Samuel; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; perovskite light-emitting diodes; efficiency; stability; growth process; ion migration;

    Abstract : Metal halide perovskites have attracted significant attention for light-emitting applications, because of their excellent properties, such as high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs), good charge mobility, narrow emission bandwidth, readily tunable emission spectra ranging from ultraviolet to near-infrared, and solution processability. Since the first room-temperature perovskite-based light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) reported in 2014, tremendous efforts have been made to promote the efficiencies of PeLEDs, including theoretical simulation, materials design, and device engineering. 3. 23. Integrated evaluation of resource efficiency and cost effectiveness in production systems

    Author : Michael Lieder; Bengt Lindberg; Peter Almström; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; resource; efficiency; effectiveness; production system; evaluation; small and medium-sized enterprises;

    Abstract : Improved use of resources is of enormously high relevance and crucial for achieving as well as maintaining a sustainable condition. Especially industrial production has a superior responsibility in creating a long-term viable way of living. READ MORE

  4. 24. Running-in of gears from a surfacetransformation and efficiency point of view

    Author : Mario Sosa; Ulf Olofsson; Lars Mattsson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; running-in; surface transformation; efficiency; gears; ground; su- perfinished; Energy Technology; Energiteknik; Machine Design; Maskinkonstruktion;

    Abstract : Requirements today for machines have moved beyond functionality intoefficiency and reliability, gears are no exception. The presented work focuseson the analysis of the measurement, evolution and effect of running-in on geardrives from a surface roughness and efficiency point of view. READ MORE

  5. 25. Digital Predistortion Linearization of High Efficiency Transmitters

    Author : Haiying Cao; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : High efficiency and good linearity are two important characteristics of transmitters in future wireless communication systems. However, there is usually a trade-off: when high efficiency is achieved, linearity is degraded and nonlinear distortion occurs. READ MORE
