  1. 16. Early intervention and autism : Improving preschool program quality for children with autism spectrum disorder receiving Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention using the Autism Program Environment Rating Scale (APERS)

    Author : Hampus Bejnö; Lise Roll-Pettersson; Sven Bölte; Lars Klintwall; Ulrika Långh; Corinna Grindle; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Applied Behavior Analysis; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention; Learning Environment; Preschool; Autism; mångsidiga program; förskola; lärmiljö; tillämpad beteendeanalys; specialpedagogik; Special Education;

    Abstract : The quality of the learning environment in preschool is of significant importance for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, very limited research has addressed how this environment can be improved. READ MORE

  2. 17. Performance Improvements for Particle Tracking Detectors in Extreme Rate and Radiation Environments

    Author : Veronica Wallängen; Samuel Silverstein; Sara Strandberg; Marek Idzik; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : In order to increase its discovery potential, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN is being transformed into a higher luminosity machine expected to be operational around 2026. The number of particle collisions will increase by a factor of 10 beyond the current design value, which means that the detectors installed around the LHC are facing various new challenges. 3. 18. The diagnostic potential of the He I D3 spectral line in the solar atmosphere

    Author : Tine Libbrecht; Jaime de la Cruz Rodríguez; Jorrit Leenaarts; Göran Scharmer; Valentín Martínez Pillet; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Sun; Line formation; Chromosphere; Spectro-Polarimetry; Flares; Reconnection; Astronomy; astronomi;

    Abstract : The research question of my PhD is in a way a simple one: what can observations of the He I D3 line teach us about the solar chromosphere? This optical spectral line at 5876 Å is generally formed in the upper chromosphere, and is sensitive to the local magnetic field. The He I D3 line is also indirectly sensitive to heating of the transition region and corona, since it is resulting from a transition that occurs between levels in the triplet system of neutral helium. 4. 19. The Beauty in Broken Symmetries : b-jet identification and searches for Supersymmetry, Dark Matter and multi-Higgs boson production with the ATLAS experiment

    Author : Laura Pereira Sánchez; Sara Strandberg; Olof Lundberg; Mauro Donegà; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ATLAS; b-tagging; HH; mistag rate; BSM; Physics; fysik;

    Abstract : The Large Hadron Collider is the largest and most powerful accelerator in the world. Proton bunches are accelerated to 6.5 TeV inside the LHC ring in opposite directions and are then collided at four different points around the ring with an energy of 13 TeV. READ MORE

  5. 20. A comparative study of Yucatec Maya Sign Languages
