  1. 1. Efficient production of high-rise buildings

    Author : Hanif Hoseini; Gudni Jóhannesson; Bertil Fredlund; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Building engineering; Byggnadsteknik;

    Abstract : Production of one family houses has over time developed successfully in Sweden and producers have managed to reduce the production costs and industrialize the production process. The development has however not been that successful when it comes to high-rise buildings. READ MORE

  2. 2. High volumetric machining strategies for superalloy gasturbine components : Comparing conventional and nonconventional machining methods for efficient manufacturing

    Author : Jonas Holmberg; Johan Berglund; Anders Wretland; Tomas Beno; Joel Andersson; Sten Johansson; RISE; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Alloy 718; High volumetric machining; Conventional and Nonconventional machining; Material removal rate; Post processing; surface integrity; Residual stress; Microstructure; Deformation; Manufacturing; Surface and Joining Technology; Bearbetnings-; yt- och fogningsteknik; Production Technology;

    Abstract : There is a strong industrial driving force to find alternative manufacturing technologies in order to make the production of aero engine components of superalloys even more efficient than it is today. Introducing new and nonconventional machining technologies, as well as enhanced utilisation of today's high volumetric manufacturing, allows taking a leap to increase the material removal rate and the productivity. 3. 3. High (valent) on O2 : Ribonucleotide Reductase and Methane Monooxygenase

    Author : Juliane John; Martin Högbom; Pål Stenmark; Peter Moody; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ribonucleotide Reductase; Methane Monooxygenase; biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Abstract : Macromolecular X-ray crystallography (MX) is a powerful method to investigate protein structures. However, proteins with redox-active centres and radicals are very susceptible to photoreduction. READ MORE

  4. 4. Ocean mixing and polynyas at Maud Rise, Weddell Sea

    Author : Martin Mohrmann; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Oceanography; Weddell Sea; Southern Ocean; Maud Rise; Polynya; Frontal mixing;

    Abstract : The Weddell Sea Polynya is an intermittent, ice free area in the marginal ice zone with an extent of up to 350 000 km². It was first observed by satellites in the winter seasons of 1974-1976. In 2016 and 2017, an open-ocean polynya opened over the Maud Rise oceanic plateau in the eastern Weddell Sea, which was the largest since the 70’s. READ MORE
