11. Silicon Carbide BipolarTechnology for High Temperature Integrated Circuits
Abstract : The availability of integrated circuits (ICs) capable of 500 or 600° C operation can be extremely beneficial for many important applications, such as transportation and energy sector industry. It can in fact enable the realization of improved sensing and control of turbine engine combustion leading to better fuel efficiency and reduced pollution. READ MORE

12. Experimental Study of some Potassium and Sodium Bearing Aluminosilicates at High Temperatures and High Pressures
Abstract : This dissertation presents the results of a high-temperature and high-pressure experimental study of some abundant aluminositicates, which are the main repositories for the two geochemically important elements, sodium and potassium, in the Earth's crust. Phase transitions of end member alkali feldspars and jadeite clinopyroxene are studied at high and ultrahigh pressures corresponding to the conditions between the transition zone and the deep Earth's lower mantle. 13. Oxidation, Creep and Fatigue Synergies in Cast Materials for Exhaust Manifolds
Abstract : The future development of engines of heavy-duty vehicles towards reduced CO2 emission will increase the exhaust gas temperature and render the exhaust atmosphere more corrosive. The current service material of exhaust gas components - a ferritic ductile cast iron called SiMo51 - will soon meet its upper-temperature limit. READ MORE

14. High-Temperature Radio Circuits in Silicon Carbide Bipolar Technology
Abstract : High-temperature electronics find many niche applications in downhole drilling, aviation, automotive and future exploration of inner planets like Venus and Mercury. Past studies have shown the potential of silicon carbide (SiC) electronics for catering these extreme temperature applications. READ MORE

15. SiC Readout IC for High Temperature Seismic Sensor System
Abstract : Over the last decade, electronics operating at high temperatures have been increasingly demanded to support in situ sensing applications such as automotive, deep-well drilling and aerospace. However, few of these applications have requirements above 460 °C, as the surface temperature of Venus, which is a specific target for the seismic sensing application in this thesis. READ MORE
