  1. 1. Analysis of interaction quality in human-machine systems

    Author : Kaisa Nolimo Solman; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Human-machine systems; warehouse truck; HMI human-interactive interaction ; methodology; holistic ergonomics view;

    Abstract : A product with good interaction quality regarding the interplay with the user produces good performance, is experienced easy, pleasant and enjoyable to use, is preventing the user of committing errors, and has no adverse physical or mental impact on the user. The aim of the presented work was to propose a framework for interaction quality, and to develop and test a methodology for analysis of interactions between humans and machines. READ MORE

  2. 2. System of Systems Characteristics in Production System Engineering

    Author : Marcus Bjelkemyr; Bengt Lindberg; José Barata Oliviera; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industrial engineering and economy; Industriell teknik och ekonomi;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a systems view of production, where production systems are compared and contrasted with other large and complex systems, commonly labeled System of Systems (SoS). The rationale for this approach lies in the evolution of production systems towards being holistic, sustainable, and agile; which increases the need for an improved understanding of both how internal system are interrelated, and how the production system interacts with its environment.
