  1. 1. Polarization-Resolved Particle Holography

    Author : Johan Öhman; Mikael Sjödahl; Erik Olsson; Per Bergström; Pietro Ferraro; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Experimentell mekanik; Experimental Mechanics;

    Abstract : In this thesis, measurement of particle fields using digital holography is the main subject. The questions investigated consider positioning, identification and sizing of nanometer and micrometer particles. The thesis explore these topics using both simulations and experimental measurements. 2. 2. Numerical and experimental aspect of coherent lensless imaging

    Author : Erik Malm; NanoLund: Center for Nanoscience; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Coherent diffractive imaging; Holography; Phase retrieval; Diffraction; Inverse scattering; XUV light; non-rigid image registration; Fysicumarkivet A:2021:Malm;

    Abstract : This thesis is devoted to the understanding, application, and extension of coherent lensless imaging methods for microscopy purposes. Particular attention is given to the Fourier transform holography and coherent diffractive imaging methods. READ MORE

  3. 3. Ultrafast resonant magnetic scattering at the European XFEL

    Author : Nanna Zhou Hagström; Stefano Bonetti; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; XFEL; ultrafast magnetism; holography; SAXS; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : Magnetic materials are of interest in a wide range of nanotechnologies such as for data storage, memory, logic, and sensing applications. Today, there is a strong desire to manipulate magnetism at timescales below the picosecond. There is therefore a high motivation in studying ultrafast magnetism at the nanoscale. READ MORE

  4. 4. Linear response theory: from black holes to Weyl systems and back

    Author : Jorge Laraña Aragón; Bo Sundborg; Lárus Thorlacius; Emil J. Bergholtz; Ulf Gran; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Linear response; Black holes; Thermalization; Holography; Weyl systems; Non-Hermitian systems; Theoretical Physics; teoretisk fysik;

    Abstract : Linear response theory is a powerful calculation tool in quantum field theory. We apply this framework to a variety of models originating from distinct areas in theoretical physics and for different reasons. READ MORE

  5. 5. Diffusion studies in gels using holographic laser interferometry

    Author : Charlotte Mattisson; Institutionen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; chemical potential; ionic strenght; pH; cubic phase; partition coefficient; holographic laser interferometry; holography; pullulan; lysozyme; BSA; macromolecules; diffusion; gel; Poisson-Boltzmann; Chemical technology and engineering; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi;

    Abstract : This thesis is an investigation of the potential of holographic laser interferometry for the study of diffusion of both small solutes and macromolecules. An investigation on the importance of errors due to light deflection in refarctive index gradients showed that the magnitude of the refractive index gradients were negligible for the system investigated.
