  1. 1. Enhancing Tropospheric Humidity Data Records from Satellite Microwave and Radiosonde Sensors

    Author : Isaac Moradi; [2015]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CDR; climate; microwave; radiosonde; water vapor; remote sensing; antenna; homogenization; humidity; meteorology; troposphere; radio-frequency;

    Abstract : Water vapor is the most dominant greenhouse gas and plays a critical role in the climate by regulating the Earth's radiation budget and hydrological cycle. A comprehensive dataset is required to describe the temporal and spatial distribution of water vapor, evaluate the performance of climate and weather prediction models in terms of simulating tropospheric humidity, and understand the role of water vapor and its feedback in the climate system. 2. 2. Late Holocene humidity variability in central Sweden

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Physical Geography and Quaternary Geology, Stockholm University

    Author : Sofia Andersson; Stockholms universitet.; [2010]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; humidity change; stable isotopes; Chara spp; Pisidium spp; testate amoebae assemblages; humification; C N ratio; late Holocene; central Sweden; NATURAL SCIENCES Earth sciences Exogenous earth sciences Quaternary geology; NATURVETENSKAP Geovetenskap Exogen geovetenskap Kvartärgeologi; Quarternary Geology; kvartärgeologi;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to reconstruct humidity variability in central Sweden during the late Holocene. A multi-proxy approach was used to infer humidity changes as recorded in a lake and a mire. Age-models were constructed based on radiocarbon dating and the Askja-1875 tephra. READ MORE

  3. 3. Printed RFID Humidity Sensor Tags for Flexible Smart Systems

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Yi Feng; KTH.; KTH.; [2015]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Intelligent packaging; humidity sensor; wireless sensor; chipless RFID; multi-walled carbon nanotube; inkjet printing; LC resonator; paper electronics; flexible electronics.;

    Abstract : Radio frequency identification (RFID) and sensing are two key technologies enabling the Internet of Things (IoT). Development of RFID tags augmented with sensing capabilities (RFID sensor tags) would allow a variety of new applications, leading to a new paradigm of the IoT. READ MORE

  4. 4. Calorimetric methods for the study of fungi on building materials

    University dissertation from Division of Building Materials, LTH, Lund University

    Author : Yujing Li; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2004]

    Abstract : The aim of this project is to study the fungal growth habits on building materials as a function of humidity, temperature and other environmental parameters. The method of calorimetry is used as a way to quantify fungal activity on building materials. READ MORE

  5. 5. Satellite measurements of upper tropospheric water

    University dissertation from Division of Building Materials, LTH, Lund University

    Author : Mattias Ekström; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; cloud ice; upper troposphere; microwave; retrieval; the Odin satellite; humidity; limb-sounding;

    Abstract : Water vapour and clouds in the upper troposphere have strong influence on the Earth's climate system. The present uncertainties regarding the distribution and feedback mechanisms of water to a changing climate are today among the greatest limitations for accurate climate predictions. READ MORE
