1. Organics in hydrothermal fluids from ultramafic-hosted vents of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge
Abstract : The process of serpentinization at slow spreading ridges is due to the circulation of seawater through outcropping mantle rocks. The peridotites of the mantle are altered via fluid-rock interaction generating, in the presence of Fe bearing minerals, high CH4- and H2-concentrations in the water column. READ MORE

2. Integrated sewage sludge treatment scenarios – techno-economic analysis on energy and phosphorus recovery
Abstract : Sewage sludge is a by-product of wastewater treatment that simultaneously gathers contaminants, valuable organic matter, and nutrients. The treatment of the increasing amount of sewage sludge is important from both pollution prevention and resource recovery perspectives as i) large shares of mineral phosphorus, listed as a critical raw material, terminate in the sewage sludge, and ii) energy recovery from sewage sludge can cover the energy-intensive demand of the treatment process. 3. Composite Nanostructured Materials for Renewable Energy Applications
Abstract : Diverse sources of energy are becoming increasingly significant in today's world. The most common source of energy today is fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and gas. While this energy source has many advantages, it also comes with many problems. READ MORE

4. Origin of organic compounds in fluids from ultramafic-hosted hydrothermal vents of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge
Abstract : Natural gas, primarily methane (CH4), is produced in substantial amounts in ultramafic-hosted hydrothermal systems. These systems could also generate oil (heavier hydrocarbons) and the first building blocks of life (prebiotic molecules). In the presence of iron bearing minerals, serpentinisation reactions generate H2. READ MORE

5. Characterization of Pathfinders and Indicators of Gold
Abstract : Research on natural minerals and their chemical bonding to economically critical raw materials is a viable industrially relevant research area due to its increasing demand. Meeting demands requires fast, robust, and efficient techniques to explore new ore deposits and continuous operation of active mines as well as recycling. READ MORE
