12. [11C]Carbon Monoxide in Rhodium-/Palladium-Mediated Carbonylation Reactions
Abstract : Methods for the 11C-labeling of carbonyl compounds applicable in the preparation of radiotracers for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) are described. To this end [11C]carbon monoxide at low concentration was used in transition metal- mediated reactions. READ MORE

13. Combination chemotherapy for human immunodeficiency virus infection
Abstract : The worldwide spread of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) has spurred the search for effective drugs to combat this deadly virus. The limited effect of monotherapy treatment, in large measure due to the development of drug resistant viral strains, has led to increased emphasis on combination chemotherapy for the treatment of HIV, the focus of this study. 14. Evaluation of the deoxyribonucleoside kinase of Drosophila melanogaster (Dm-dNK) as a suicide gene for treatment of solid tumors
Abstract : Nucleoside kinases from several species are investigated as "suicide genes" for treatment of malignant tumors. The transfer of the gene encoding herpes simplex virus type-1 thymidine kinase (HSV-1 TK) into malignant cells and subsequent treatment with ganciclovir is one of the most commonly studied strategies of suicide gene therapy.
