21. Magnetic Resonance Parameters of Radicals Studied by Density Functional Theory Methods
Abstract : The recent state of art in the magnetic resonance area putsforward the electron paramagnetic resonance, EPR, and nuclearmagnetic resonance, NMR, experiments on prominent positions forinvestigations of molecular and electronic structure. A mostdifficult aspect of such experiments is usually the properinterpretation of data obtained from high-resolution spectra, that, however, at the same time opens a great challenge forpure theoretical methods to interpret the spectral features. 22. Time Resolved Laser Spectroscopy of Rydberg States in Group IIIA and IIIA Elements
Abstract : In this work radiative properties of neutral elements with one or two electrons outside closed subshells have been investigated. Using laser techniques in connection with atomic beams selective excitation of Rydberg states was performed. Most of the studied states were populated with two-step excitation. READ MORE

23. Protein Engineering on Azurin. Expression Mutagenesis and Characterisation of Copper Site Mutants
Abstract : Azurin belongs to a family of small blue copper proteins or cupredoxins which participate in electron transfer processes in plants and bacteria. The type 1 copper site in these proteins is characterised by an intense blue colour, a narrow hyperfine coupling in the EPR signal and, generally, a high reduction potential. READ MORE

24. Optical and Magnetic Properties of Copper(II) Compounds
Abstract : This thesis encloses quantum chemical calculations and applications of a response function formalism recently implemented within the framework of density functional theory. The optical and magnetic properties of copper(II) molecular systems are the main goal of this work. READ MORE

25. A quantum-chemical study to the magnetic characteristics of methanol and its applications in astronomy
Abstract : Magnetic fields play an important role during star formation. Direct magnetic field strength observations have proven specifically challenging in the dynamic protostellar phase. READ MORE
