6. Primary hyperparathyroidism of postmenopausal women : Prospective population-based case-control analysis on prevalence, clinical findings and treatment
Abstract : The need of prospective studies on prevalence, clinical features and treatment of mild primary hyperparathyroidism (HPT) has been emphasised. Population-based screening was performed in 5 202 women attending screening mammography at 55-75 years of age. HPT was diagnosed in 2.1% of the women, and almost one third of them were normocalcemic. 7. Early parathyroidectomy in mild primary hyperparathyroidism: Effects on heart and bones

8. Impact of Surgery for Primary Hyperparathyroidism
READ MORE

9. Cardiovascular disease and adrenergic dysfunction in mild primary hyperparathyroidism
Abstract : Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is associated with cardiovascular morbidity and premature death, but the underlying mechanisms are incompletely understood. The aim of this thesis was to investigate cardiovascular parameters and adrenergic function in mild PHPT compared to healthy controls subjects before and after curative parathyroidectomy (PTX).
