  1. 6. The Use of “non-ICSID” Arbitration Rules in Investment Treaty Disputes : Domestic Courts, Commercial Arbitration Institutions and Arbitral Tribunal Jurisdiction

    Author : Joel Dahlquist Cullborg; Kaj Hobér; Iain Cameron; Freya Baetens; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; International investment law; international arbitration; investment treaties; BIT; ICSID; UNCITRAL; jurisdiction; treaty interpretation; emergency arbitration; Iran-United States Claims Tribunal; Public International Law; Folkrätt;

    Abstract : This book studies how domestic courts and commercial arbitration institutions impact the scope of arbitral tribunal jurisdiction in investment treaty disputes. 2. 7. Cervical cancer in Zimbabwe : viral and host factors : studies on pathogenesis of cervical cancer in Zimbabwe with special reference to type-specific human paillomavirus (HPV) infection and human cytokine gene polymorphisms

    Author : Grazyna Alicja Stanczuk; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : Cervical cancer; cytokine gene polymorphism; and ethnic differences; Zimbabwe.;

    Abstract : Invasive cervical cancer (ICC) is the commonest cancer affecting Zimbabwean women. The recognition of the central role of the human papilloma virus (HPV) in the aetiopathogenesis of cervical cancer has led to application of HPV testing in the cervical screening and to the development of HPV vaccines for primary prevention of ICC. 4. 9. Xenograft Rejection : A Study of Cytokine mRNA Expression in Experimental Models

    Author : Henrik Krook; Anthony Dorling; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Oncology; Type 1 diabetes; Parkinson’s disease; xenotransplantation; islets; neural tissue; heart; mRNA; cytokines; rejection.; Onkologi; Oncology; Onkologi; Clinical Immunology; klinisk immunologi;

    Abstract : Acute cellular xenograft rejection of ICCs triggered mRNA expression of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1b and TNF-a), Th1 associated cytokines (IL-12p40, IL-2 and IFN-g) and Th2 associated cytokines (IL-4 and IL-10). The peak values and the kinetics of the mRNA expression indicated that acute cellular xenograft rejection is enhanced by the proinflammatory response and mediated by the Th1 associated response, whereas the function of the Th2 associated response most likely is to counteract the Th1 associated cytokines and thereby inhibit bystander damage by the delayed type hypersensitivity like rejection process. 5. 10. Understanding Opioid Therapy in Chronic Pain : Assessment, Lived Experience and Conceptions

    Author : Hanna Ljungvall; Pernilla Åsenlöf; Nitya Jayaram-Lindström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The overarching aim of this thesis was to improve the understandings of opioid therapy for chronic non-cancer pain (CNCP) by examining the feasibility of different assessment methods of substance use, and opioid use disorder (OUD), and exploring the sense-making of opioid therapy in CNCP.  Methods: In study I, the reliability of the Addiction Severity Index Self-Report form (ASI-SR) was assessed by the agreement (intraclass correlation (ICC)) between the composite scores (CS) of the ASI interview and the ASI-SR, internal consistency of the CS subscales measured with Cronbach’s α, and sensitivity and specificity of the alcohol and drug CS’s, using Receiver Operating Characteristics analyses.
