1. Haptic Feedback Control Methods for Steering Systems
Abstract : Haptic feedback from the steering wheel is an important cue that defines the steering feel in the driver-vehicle interaction. The steering feedback response in an electric power assisted steering is primarily dependent on its control strategy. READ MORE

2. Modeling of Modular Multilevel Converters for Stability Analysis
Abstract : Modular multilevel converters (MMCs) have recently become the state-of-the-art solution for various grid-connected applications, such as high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems and flexible alternating current transmission systems (FACTS). Modularity, scalability, low power losses, and low harmonic distortion are the outstanding properties that make MMCs a key technology for a sustainable future. READ MORE

3. On the robust stability analysis of VSC-HVDC systems
Abstract : This thesis focuses on small signal stability analysis of VSC-HVDC systems, emphasizing the system stability robustness with regard to the connected AC-grid and the distributed parameter DC-grid model respectively. In addition, for strong AC-grid connected systems, analytical eigenvalue expressions are provided to investigate the impact of physical or control parameters on the system stability for both two-terminal and multi-terminal VSC-HVDC systems. 4. Flow Pulsations in Fluid Power Machines - a Measurement and Simulation Study
Abstract : Stricter requirements for better working environment involve noise and vibration control of hydraulic machines. The operational conditions for hydraulic machines, such as pressure and rotational speed, are also increasing and this makes it even more difficult to develop a quiet, vibration-free machine due to the interdependence between noise and escalating operational conditions. 5. Directional Decomposition in Anisotropic Heterogeneous Media for Acoustic and Electromagnetic Fields
Abstract : Directional wave-field decomposition for heterogeneousanisotropic media with in-stantaneous response is establishedfor both the acoustic and the electromagnetic equations. We derive a sufficient condition for ellipticity of thesystem's matrix in the Laplace domain and show that theconstruction of the splitting matrix via a Dunford-Taylorintegral over the resolvent of the non-compact, non-normalsystem's matrix is well de ned.
