  1. 1. Resource Allocation in Downlink Coordinated Multi-Point Systems

    Author : Jingya Li; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; backhaul latency; Coordinated multi-point CoMP transmission; imperfect synchronization; fractional frequency reuse; resource allocation; general duality theory; imperfect channel state information; inter-cluster interference coordination;

    Abstract : The raised user expectations of quality of service and the rapid growth of the data traffics impose a great challenge for mobile communication systems. The performance, e.g., the spectrum efficiency, peak data rate, cell-edge data rate, of current cellular systems ismainly limited due to the presence of inter-cell interference. READ MORE

  2. 2. Downlink Resource Allocation in Cooperative Wireless Networks

    Author : Jingya Li; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; precoding design; load balancing; relaying; imperfect channel state information; imperfect synchronization; Coordinated multi-point transmission; I Q imbalance; resource allocation; fractional frequency reuse;

    Abstract : Wireless cooperative networks, which is based on exploiting coordination among multiple access nodes, has been considered as a promising approach to improve the spectral efficiency, reduce the energy consumption, and extend the network coverage of future wireless communication systems. In practice, the actual benefit of multi-node cooperation is affected by a variety of factors, including the quality of channel state information (CSI), the constraints on the feedback and backhaul links, hardware impairments, resource allocation and data processing schemes. 3. 3. Approaches to ensure and improve quality at primary healthcare centres - a study of the effects of a structured patient-sorting system and a healthcare reform

    Author : Andy Maun; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Primary healthcare; Quality improvement; Health services research; Healthcare reform; Sweden;

    Abstract : Background: Primary healthcare in Sweden meets increased demands from an aging population concerning quality and accessibility while dealing with a growing shortage of general practitioners and imperfect efficiency. Initiatives in the delivery and governance of primary care services attempt to improve quality and performance, but frequently do not attain the targeted results. READ MORE

  4. 4. Economic Applications of Product Quality Regulation in WTO Trade Agreements

    Author : Natalie Pienaar; Henrik Horn; Joseph Francois; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Economics; Nationalekonomi;

    Abstract : This thesis comprises three theoretical essays on the economic applications of product quality regulation in WTO Agreements:Economic Applications of the WTO Consistency Requirement Article 5.5 (consistency) of the SPS Agreement requires countries to avoid arbitrary distinctions in health protection on goods that are associated with the same disease, if such distinctions result in discrimination or a disguised restriction on trade. 5. 5. Damage Segregation and Cellular Rejuvenation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

    Author : Sandra Malmgren Hill; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Aging; protein damage; quality control; metacaspase; aggregates; segregation; vacuole;

    Abstract : The process of aging is defined as a time-dependent decline in cellular functionality, and aging is thought to have evolved as organisms were optimized for reproduction, at the cost of an imperfect repair and maintenance system. As a consequence, different kinds of dysfunctional components and damage accumulate over time. READ MORE
