  1. 1. In situ Sequencing : Methods for spatially-resolved transcriptome analysis

    Author : Marco Mignardi; Mats Nilsson; Xiaoliang Sunney Xie; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Padlock probes; rolling circle amplification; in situ sequencing; spatially-resolved transcriptomics; molecular diagnostics; biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Abstract : It is well known that cells in tissues display a large heterogeneity in gene expression due to differences in cell lineage origin and variation in the local environment at different sites in the tissue, a heterogeneity that is difficult to study by analyzing bulk RNA extracts from tissue. Recently, genome-wide transcriptome analysis technologies have enabled the analysis of this variation with single-cell resolution. READ MORE

  2. 2. Towards comprehensive cellular atlases : High-throughput cell mapping by in situ sequencing

    Author : Xiaoyan Qian; Mats Nilsson; Gunnar von Heijne; Anthony Zador; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Spatially resolved transcriptomics; in situ sequencing; cell type; spatial analysis; biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Abstract : With recent technological advancements in single-cell biology, many aspects of individual cells are characterized with unprecedented resolution and details. Cell types in human and model organisms are redefined, and multiple organ-wide atlases are proposed to integrate different types of data to provide a comprehensive view of biological systems at cellular resolution. Abstract : Myrmarker har en stor roll i regleringen av den globala kolbalansen och koncentrationerna av koldioxid och metan i atmosfären, vilket gör dem till speciellt viktiga ekosystem ur ett klimatförandringsperspektiv. Förändringar av myrmarker genom naturlig utveckling eller antropogen påverkan kan därför få långtgående störningar av myrars klimatreglerande funktion. READ MORE
