  1. 21. Who Should do What to Whom? : Occupational Groups´Views on Special Needs

    Author : Gunilla Lindqvist; Claes Nilholm; Gun-Marie Wetso; Kristina Ström; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Keywords : SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; Occupational groups; children in need of special support; views; special needs; inclusion; SENCOs; educational leaders; preschools and schools; Utbildning och lärande;

    Abstract : The overall aim of this thesis is to increase our knowledge of different occupational groups´ views on work with children in need of special support. This is explored in four separate studies.The first study investigates the views of occupational groups in preschools and schools in one municipality. READ MORE

  2. 22. Influence of microstructure on fatigue and ductility properties of tool steels

    Author : Mats Randelius; Rolf Sandström; Jens Bergström; KTH; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tool steels; fatigue; ductility; carbides; carbide cluster; inclusion; size distribution; modelling; FEM; Metallurgical process engineering; Metallurgisk processteknik;

    Abstract : Fatigue and ductility properties in various tool steels, produced by powder metallurgy, spray forming or conventionally ingot casting, have been analysed experimentally and successfully compared to developed models. The models are able to predict the fatigue limit and cause for fatigue fracture, and strain- and stress-development until fracture during the ductile fracture process respectively. READ MORE

  3. 23. Mutant superoxide dismutase-1-caused pathogenesis in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

    Author : Daniel Bergemalm; Stefan Marklund; Thomas Brännström; Peter Andersen; Caterina Bendotti; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ALS; SOD1; mitochondria; proteome; transgenic mice; inclusion; Clinical chemistry; Klinisk kemi; biokemi; Biochemistry; neurologi; Neurology; Clinical Chemistry; klinisk kemi; patologi; Pathology;

    Abstract : Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a devastating disease that affects people in their late mid-life, with fatal outcome usually within a few years. The progressive degeneration of neurons responsible for muscle movement (motor neurons) throughout the central nervous system (CNS) leads to muscle wasting and paralysis, and eventually affects respiratory function. 4. 24. Formation of non-metallic inclusions and the possibility of their removal during ingot casting

    Author : Lars Ragnarsson; Sichen Du; Carlo Mapelli; KTH; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ingot casting; tool steel; inclusion; runner; refractory; erosion; casting powder; cold model; argon shroud; reoxidation; oxygen measurement; CFD; PIV; Metallurgical process engineering; Metallurgisk processteknik;

    Abstract : The present study was carried out to investigate the formation and evolution of non-metallic inclusions during ingot casting. Emphasize have been on understanding the types of inclusions formed and developed through the casting process and on the development of already existing inclusions carried over from the ladle during casting.
