  1. 1. Pheromone production in the butterfly Pieris napi L

    Author : Rushana Murtazina; Raimondas Mozuraitis; Joop van Loon; KTH; []
    Keywords : Pieris; Lepidoptera; pheromone; aphrodisiaca; antiaphrodisiaca; biosynthesis; flower volatiles; stable isotopes; incorporation; neral; geranial; methyl salicylate; benzyl cyanide; L - phenylalanine;

    Abstract : Aphrodisiac and anti-aphrodisiac pheromone production and composition in the green-veined white butterfly Pieris napi L. were investigated.Aphrodisiac pheromone biosynthesis had different time constraints in butterflies from the diapausing and directly developing generations. 2. 2. Charge Transport Properties in Nanostructured Electrodes of Metal Oxides

    Author : Niclas Beermann; James Durrant; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Iron oxide; titanium dioxide; nanostructured; photoelectrochemistry; charge transport; morphology; incorporation; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; Physical Chemistry; fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : In the last decade research in the field of nanostructured metal oxide thin film electrodes for various applications, e.g., solar cells and hydrogen production, has been of great interest. In this thesis, interfacial and bulk electrochemical properties and charge transport properties of nanostructured thin films have been investigated. READ MORE

  3. 3. Manner Modifiers as Syntactic Heads

    Author : Victor Bogren Svensson; Allmän språkvetenskap; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; manner modifier; Incorporation; affixation; adverbial verb; morphology-syntax interface; Inuit languages; Formosan languages;

    Abstract : The present dissertation concerns typologically unusual ways of encoding manner information, namely verbal affixes (manner affixes), incorporated constituents (incorporated manner modifiers) and auxiliary verbs (manner adverbial verbs). A key proposal is that all three are overt realizations of syntactic heads merged in the clausal spine, thereby presenting novel data that can be used to probe into the relationship between morphology and syntax. 4. 4. Materials for future power sources

    Author : Mikael Ludvigsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Polymer electrolyte fuel cell; lithium polymer battery; polymer electrolyte; cathode materials; Nafion; lithium manganese oxide; lithium cobalt oxide; incorporation; precipitation; FTIR; Raman; X-ray; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Proton exchange membrane fuel cells and lithium polymer batteries are important as future power sources in electronic devices, vehicles and stationary applications. The development of these power sources involves finding and characterising materials that are well suited r the application. READ MORE

  5. 5. Framing and Overflowing : How the Infusion of Information Technology Alters Proximal Service Production
