  1. 1. Advances in time–domain induced polarisation tomography : Data acquisition, processing and modelling

    Author : Per-Ivar Olsson; Teknisk geologi; []
    Keywords : Tomography; Signal–to–noise ratio; Waveform; Duty–Cycle; induced polarisation; Electrical properties;

    Abstract : What would you find below your feet – how do you find out? Perhaps you could look at a geological map, drill, or dig? That could work, but sometimes the maps are not detailed enough, and digging everywhere to find out is impractical. Imagine if you could develop a method that allows you to see straight through the ground, as x–rays through the body! To some extent, such methods already exist; you can for example send electric current into the ground that tells you what lies beneath when it returns. READ MORE

  2. 2. From microstructure to subsurface characterization. Spectral information from field scale time domain induced polarization

    Author : Sara Johansson; Teknisk geologi; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Geofysik; Inducerad Polarisation;

    Abstract : A large variety of subsurface infrastructure projects of different types can gain valuable information from tomographic measurements of subsurface physical properties. With resistivity and time domain spectral induced polarization (IP), the distributions of the conductive and capacitive properties of the subsurface are obtained. READ MORE

  3. 3. Quantitative Spectroscopy of Gas Phase Reactions at Elevated Temperatures

    Author : Joachim Walewski; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fluiddynamik; Gaser; plasma; Maskinteknik; vibration and acoustic engineering; vacuum technology; hydraulics; vibrationer; vakuumteknik; statistical inference; Mechanical engineering; polarisation spectroscopy; diamond CVD; quantitative spectroscopy; hydraulik; gas phase kinetics; plasmas; fluid dynamics; Gases; Fysik; akustik; Physics; Fysicumarkivet A:2001:Walewski;

    Abstract : Gas phase reactions at elevated temperatures are versatile tools for material manufacturing and energy conversion. They are of great commercial interest, but they often entail hazardous impacts on the environment. There is consequently a pronounced need for the further develpment of processes utilising these types of reactions. READ MORE

  4. 4. On the Chemical Romance Between Gas and Surface, and how to Illuminate it

    Author : Sebastian Pfaff; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; planar laser-induced fluorescence; surface optical reflectance; model catalysis; palladium; polycrystal; CO oxidation; heterogeneous catalysis; Fysicumarkivet A:2022:Pfaff;

    Abstract : An increasing number of catalysis experiments are conducted at higher pressures to bridge the pressure gap. This means that we need to measure not only the sample surface but also the gas phase around the sample with spatial resolution. READ MORE

  5. 5. Regulation of innate and adaptive immune responses by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria

    Author : Anna Martner; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : Gram-positive; Gram-negative bacteria; Streptococcus pneumoniae; IL-12; autolysin; pneumolysin; CD4 T cells; monocytes macrophages; dendritic cells;

    Abstract : Bacteria are classified as Gram-positive or Gram-negative, depending on their cell wall structure. The role of the bacterial cell wall in immune regulation is the focus of the current work. Most Gram-positive bacteria stimulate monocytes to produce large amounts of IL-12. READ MORE
