  1. 1. Open-framework Structures Built by Inorganic Clusters : Synthesis and Characterization

    Author : Hong Chen; Junliang Sun; Xiaodong Zou; Thomas E Albrecht-Schmitt; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Open-framework; germanates; vanadoborates; aluminoborates; germanosilicates; crystal structure; hydrothermal synthesis; crystal X-ray diffraction; rotation electron diffraction; powder X-ray diffraction; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Novel open-framework germanates and vanadoborates, which are constructed from typical types of clusters, have been synthesized based on different strategies. The crystal structures are solved by using single crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD) technique or by combined techniques. READ MORE

    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; X-ray diffraction; transmission electron microscopy; framework materials; porous materials; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Inorganic and metal-organic framework materials possessing accessible and permanent pores are receiving tremendous attention. Among them, zeolites are the most famous class due to their wide applications on petrochemistry and gas separation. READ MORE

  3. 3. Structural characterization of complex inorganic materials using solid-state NMR spectroscopy

    Author : Hua Guo; Ulrich Häusserman; Sven Lidin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; solid-state NMR; materials characterization; inorganic materials; Calcium phosphate cements; bone-substitution materials; Mixed-anion compounds; perovskite; Oxyhydride materials; Oxynitride materials; Barium titanate; Strontium vanadate; oorganisk kemi; Inorganic Chemistry;

    Abstract : Over the past decades, advancements in technology have relied greatly on the development of new functional inorganic materials. Detailed structural characterization of these materials is key for the understanding and also prediction of chemical and physical properties. READ MORE

  4. 4. Transition metal oxofluorides comprising lone pair elements : Synthesis and Characterization

    Author : Shichao Hu; Mats Johnsson; Jürgen Köhler; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; lone pairs; oxofluorides; low-dimensional compounds; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : Within the family of transition metal oxochlorides/bromides containing lone pair elements, the transition metal cations often adopt a low-dimensional arrangement such as 2D layers, 1D chains or 0D clusters. The reduced dimensionality is attributed to the presence of stereochemically active lone pairs which are positioned in the non-bonding orbital and will not participate in bond formation and instead act as structural spacers that help to separate coordination polyhedra around transition metal cations from forming three dimensional networks.
