  1. 1. Inside out: Individuals’ sustainability engagement in energy system transition

    Author : Niklas Fernqvist; Chalmers University of Technology; []

    Abstract : Sustainability transitions research has been criticised for being mostly on the system level. To the extent individuals have been recognised, they have mostly been acting in so called niche initiatives, as entrepreneurs, grassroot innovators or users. READ MORE

  2. 2. Plasma membrane/cytoskeleton interactions in plants

    Author : Anders Sonesson; Lund University; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Triton X-114; hydrophobic tubulin; tubulin; actin; cytoskeleton; Brij 58; inside-out; plasma membrane; plant; cauliflower; Physiological biophysics; Växtfysiologi;

    Abstract : The way in which the cortical cytoskeleton associates to the plasma membrane (PM) must be elucidated to understand the structural dynamics of many processes in the plant cell. In the present study, isolated cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L.) PM vesicles were used to characterize membrane/cytoskeleton interactions. READ MORE

  3. 3. Dynamics of corporate strategy from a value chain perspective : A study of the Swedish telecom and construction industries during the 90’s

    Author : Andes de Paula; Staffan Brege; Øivind Revang; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ; telecommunication; construction; modularization; systemization; industry; systems sales; inside-out; outside-in; corporate; SBU; functional; strategy; context of strategy; strategic change; content of strategy; process of strategy; value chain; value constellation; bundling; unbundling; outsourcing; merger and acquisitions; Industrial engineering and economy; Industriell teknik och ekonomi;

    Abstract : Changes in sectors and industries have brought new challenges to corporations as well as been important driving forces for the dynamics in strategy at the corporate level. With the dramatic developments of the 1990’s in mind, such as multilateral free-trade agreements, liberalization, privatization, sharp industry growth/decline, increased competition and globalization, in particular within the telecom and the construction industry, this study contributes to describing and understanding strategic change at the corporate level as well as changes in the division of work within value chains. 4. 4. Calcium transporting ATPases in plant cells

    Author : Malin Olbe; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Triticum aestivum; calcium; Brij 58; calmodulin; Ca2 signalling; inside-out; endoplasmic reticulum; plant; plasma membrane; proteolysis; P-type ATPase; spinach; Spinacea oleracea; trypsin; two-phase; wheat.; Plant biochemistry; Växtbiokemi;

    Abstract : Plant cells carry Ca2+ ATPases to maintain the low resting level of cytosolic Ca2+ (0.1-0.2 µM) found in all eukaryotes. Plant Ca2+ ATPases are mainly located in the plasma membrane, the endoplasmic reticulum and in the vacuolar membrane, and consequently large Ca2+ gradients are created across these membranes. 5. 5. Un-common Sociality : Thinking Sociality with Levinas

    Author : Ramona Rat; Fredrika Spindler; Marcia Sá Cavalcante Schuback; Robert Bernasconi; Södertörns högskola; []

    Abstract : The present investigation develops the notion of sociality based on Emmanuel Levinas’s thought, and proposes an understanding of sociality that resists becoming a common foundation: an un-common sociality which interrupts the reciprocal shared common, and thereby, paradoxically, makes it possible. By engaging in the larger debate on community, this work gives voice to Levinas on the question of community without a common ground, a topic and a debate where he has previously been underestimated.
