    Abstract : It has been argued that for the management of complex issues such as sustainability, which transcend traditional policy sectors and require coordination between several different interests and actors, policymaking depends upon collaboration and integration processes between different sectors and tiers of government. The overall aim of this thesis is therefore to study how and why (or why not) policy integration processes are being developed in regional policymaking and what this means for the achievement of sustainable transport. 2. 22. Supply Chain Integration through Performance Measurement

    Author : Stefan Holmberg; Teknisk logistik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Produktionsteknik; integration; supply chain; Production technology; performance measurement system; Teknik; Technological sciences;

    Abstract : This Ph.D. thesis is about how the design of measurement systems may influence-or even drive-the integration of firms in supply chains, and is based on research presented in my licentiate thesisR. READ MORE

  3. 23. Hepatitis B virus replication and integration

    Author : Simon B. Larsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; hepatitis B virus; replication; integration; HBV DNA; HBsAg;

    Abstract : Chronic infection with hepatitis B virus (HBV) affects 240 million people worldwide and may cause liver disease including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Initially patients have high levels of HBV DNA in their blood, no liver disease and express the e antigen (HBeAg). READ MORE

  4. 24. Tool Integration and Safety : A Foundation for Analysing the Impact of Tool Integrationon Non-functional Properties

    Author : Fredrik Asplund; Martin Törngren; Jad El-khoury; Jakob Axelsson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tool Integration; Integrated Development Environments; Embedded Systems; Safety Standards; Certification; Qualification; Systems Thinking; System Safety; STAMP; STPA;

    Abstract : The increasing complexity of embedded systems development is becoming difficult to handle with development environments based on disjoint engineering tools. Support for interactions between various engineering tools, especially through automated means, has therefore received an increased amount of attention during the last few years. READ MORE

  5. 25. Biomass conversion through syngas-based biorefineries : thermochemical process integration opportunities

    Author : Katarina Åberg; Anders Nordin; Linda Pommer; Erik Dahlquist; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biomass; biorefinery; thermochemical conversion; torrefaction; slow pyrolysis; gasification; process integration; carbon negativity;

    Abstract : The replacement of fossil resources through renewable alternatives is one way to mitigate global climate change. Biomass is the only renewable source of carbon available for replacing oil as a refining feedstock. Therefore, it needs to be utilized not just as a fuel but for both biochemical and thermochemical conversion through biorefining. READ MORE
