  1. 16. Artificial Intelligence for Monitoring and Diagnosis of Robotic Spacecraft

    Author : David John Atkinson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; robot plan execution; NASA; ; software systems; artificial intelligence algorithms;

    Abstract : In this thesis the application of artificial intelligence to monitoring and diagnosis of robotic spacecraft is discussed. Several software prototype systems were developed to serve as testbeds for the research and to evaluate the effectiveness of the approach against real problems and current techniques used in NASA's planetary exploration program. 2. 17. Reactive Navigation Methods for Autonomous Robots: Safety, Coordination, and Field Deployment

    Author : Björn Lindqvist; George Nikolakopoulos; Christoforos Kanellakis; Alberto Bemporad; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Field Robotics; NMPC; Obstacle Avoidance; Collision Avoidance; Multi-agent Systems; Robot Navigation; Robotics and Artificial Intelligence; Robotik och artificiell intelligens;

    Abstract : In the new era of intelligent systems, small-scale electronics, and advanced sensors, the application use-cases and operational capabilities of autonomous robots are exponentially increasing. Through their ability to execute complex tasks while relying only on onboard sensors and computation, autonomous field robots are showing promising results in inspection of infrastructure, search-and-rescue or surveillance, maintenance tasks, or in general operations in areas that prove to be dangerous or hazardous for human operators to enter, while also often increasing the efficiency of such tasks. 3. 18. Interoperability Infrastructure and Incremental learning for unreliable heterogeneous communicating Systems

    Author : Abdul Haseeb; Mihhail Matskin; Jüri Vain; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Interoperability; Incremental learning; Unreliable heterogeneous communicating Systems; Robotics; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : In a broader sense the main research objective of this thesis (and ongoing research work) is distributed knowledge management for mobile dynamic systems. But the primary focus and presented work focuses on communication/interoperability of heterogeneous entities in an infrastructure less paradigm, a distributed resource manipulation infrastructure and distributed learning in the absence of global knowledge. 4. 19. Intention recognition in human machine collaborative systems

    Author : Daniel Aarno; Danica Kragic; Darius Burschka; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Robotics; Human-machine collaboration; Virtual fixture; hidden Markov model; Machine learning; Artificial intelligence; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Robotsystem har använts flitigt under de senaste årtiondena för att skapa automationslösningar i ett flertal områden. De flesta nuvarande automationslösningarna är begränsade av att uppgifterna de kan lösa måste vara repetitiva och förutsägbara. READ MORE

  5. 20. Transient Control for Leader-follower Multi-agent Systems with Application to Spatiotemporal Logic Tasks

    Author : Fei Chen; Dimos V. Dimarogonas; Jana Tumova; Ming Cao; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; multi-agent systems; leader-follower networks; transient constraints; temporal logics; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Over the past few decades, significant research has been directed towards addressing the problem of distributed control of multi-agent systems. The overall tasks include consensus, formation, flocking, and coverage control with the wide applications in multi-robot coordination, manufacturing and intelligent transportation systems. READ MORE
