  1. 1. Transfer reactions in inverse kinematics at REX-ISOLDE

    Author : Elisabeth Tengborn; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; REX-ISOLDE; Exotic nuclei; transfer reactions in inverse kinematics.;

    Abstract : Research on the structure of exotic nuclei is one of the most intriguing topics in present day nuclear physics. With the use of facilities for isotope separation on-line, such as ISOLDE at CERN, short-lived isotopes can be studied experimentally. READ MORE

  2. 2. Double Poling Incross-Country Skiing : Biomechanical and Physiological Analysis of Sitting and Standing Positions

    Author : Marie Lund Ohlsson; Marko Laaksonen; Jonas Danvind; L. Joakim Holmberg; Anders Eriksson; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; blood lactate concentration; cross-country sit-skiing; impairment; internal kinetics; inverse dynamics simulations; joint reaction forces; kinematics; metabolic rate; musculoskeletal modelling; musculoskeletal efficiency; nordic skiing; oxygen uptake; para-skiing; respiration; skiing efficiency.;

    Abstract : Double poling (DP) is a sub-technique in cross-country skiing that has increased in interest over the last decades, e.g. athletes in cross-country skiing have increased their utilisation of double poling during competitions. READ MORE

  3. 3. Toward a Sustainable Human-Robot Collaborative Production Environment

    Author : Abdullah Alhusin Alkhdur; Lihui Wang; Gunnar Bolmsjö; KTH; []
    Keywords : vision sensor; 3D image processing; collision detection; safety; robot; kinematics; dynamics; collaborative assembly; energy consumption; optimisation; manufacturing; Production Engineering; Industriell produktion;

    Abstract : This PhD study aimed to address the sustainability issues of the robotic systems from the environmental and social aspects. During the research, three approaches were developed: the first one an online programming-free model-driven system that utilises web-based distributed human-robot collaboration architecture to perform distant assembly operations. 4. 4. Fragmentation in Proton-Nucleus Reactions from 100 to 1400 MeV

    Author : Henrik Jäderström; Lars Wesretberg; Yuri Murin; Kjell Aleklett; Haik Simon; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Nuclear physics; proton; deuteron; 20Ne; 28Si; Xe; nuclear reactions; inverse kinematics; recoils; intermediate mass fragments; angular distribution; DCM model; JQMD model; CFEM model; single event upset; Kärnfysik;

    Abstract : The heaviest fragments, recoils, have been studied in proton and deuteron induced 28Si reactions and proton-20Ne reactions at 100-300 MeV per nucleon. Inclusive charge and angular distributions and coincidences between He nuclei and recoils have been compared to two theoretical models, Dubna Cascade Model and JAERI Quantum Molecular Dynamics. 5. 5. Exploring effective descriptions of gauge fields and strings : A Lagrangian approach with insights from color-kinematics duality

    Author : Lucia M. Garozzo; Henrik Johansson; Chris White; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; scattering amplitudes; double copy; gauge theory; string theory; Theoretical Physics; Teoretisk fysik;

    Abstract : The concept of a color-kinematics duality is an important driving force in advancing the modern understanding of scattering amplitudes, in both field theory and string theory. Yet, open questions remain that motivate the need for a deeper understanding of the duality. READ MORE
