6. Robust Control of an Induction Motor Drive
Abstract : This thesis considers robust control of an induction motor drive, consisting of an input filter, a voltage source inverter and one or several induction motors in parallel. The motor torque is here controlled by using the method Indirect Self Control (ISC), and power oscillations between the inverter and the input filter are damped by means of a stabilization controller in an outer feedback loop. 7. Power control strategies for renewable energy systems : The inverter's role in future power systems
Abstract : Connecting more non-dispatchable renewable energy sources (RESs) will result in a higher power variability and a lower system inertia when the synchronous generators are replaced by inverter-connected RES. Inverter control can be divided in three categories: grid-following, grid-forming (GFM) and grid-supporting. READ MORE

8. Slotless High-Performance Electric Drives : Harmonic Loss Analysis, Sensorless Control, and Inverter Design
Abstract : Electric motor drives are a cornerstone for many fundamental functions in today’s society, and their expected dominance within the transport sector is considered one of the main keys to abate global warming. Subsequently, the incentives for improved performance of electric motor drives cannot be sufficiently emphasized. READ MORE

9. Energy efficient control of motors and inverters
Abstract : The purpose of this licentiate thesis is to research a few key concepts which are important in the development of high efficiency electric drives. The selected research method is quantitative, the raw data have been collected from real world measurements, both from powerlab and from train. READ MORE

10. The Frequency of the Frequency : On Hydropower and Grid Frequency Control
Abstract : Variations in the electricity consumption and production connected to the power system have to be balanced by active control. Hydropower is the most important balancing resource in the Nordic system, and will become even more important as the share of variable renewable energy sources increases. READ MORE
