  1. 1. New concepts and techniques for quantification and trace analysis by gas chromatography

    Author : Johan Pettersson; Johan Roerrade; Jan Åke Jönsson; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; quantitative accuracy; calibration; extenal standards; valume contraction; molar excess volume; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Abstract : In the first part of this thesis, strategies for avoiding systematic errors when quantifying the main components in mixtures of solvents has been developed (paper I). It is shown that variations in density caused by variations in sample composition and/or volume contraction need to be taken into account. In this way, quantification can be improved. READ MORE

  2. 2. An experimental investigation of the flow behavior of fibre/liquid/gas suspensions at MC-concentrations

    Author : Johan Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE

  3. 3. Flow and Mixing of Pulp Suspensions

    Author : Johan Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; flow behaviour; boundary-layer; Medium Consistency MC ; mixing; yield stress; suspension; pulp; Laser Doppler Anemometry LDA ; turbulence; fibre;

    Abstract : When producing pulp and paper, pulp suspensions are treated in a number of unit operations at medium consistency (MC) concentrations (3-15% by weight). Pulp suspensions at these concentrations behave as solids at low shear rates, but at sufficiently high shear rates they start to flow and can even be made to act as water. READ MORE

  4. 4. Efficient Methods to Calculate Mutual Coupling between Generic Antennas on Large Platforms

    Author : Johan Malmström; B. Lars G. Jonsson; Lars Pettersson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : This thesis presents research on methods for calculating the mutual coupling between antennas. The mutual coupling between antennas is a measure of the amount of energy transmitted from one antenna that is received by another, and is a key parameter when installing antennas on platforms, such as aircraft. 5. 5. Design Optimization in Industrial Robotics : Methods and Algorithms for Drive Train Design

    Author : Marcus Pettersson; Johan Ölvander (Andersson); Torgny Brogårdh; Jorge Angeles; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Robot manufacturers; industrial robot; robot design; Electrical engineering; Elektroteknik;

    Abstract : Robot manufacturers, like many other manufacturers, are experiencing increasing competition in a global market where one way to confront the challenge is by making the development process more efficient. One way to speed up the time to market for new products is to take advantage of design optimization based on simulation models. READ MORE
