  1. 6. Efficient Modelling and Synthesis of Data Intensive Reconfigurable Systems

    Author : Per Andersson; Institutionen för datavetenskap; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; kontroll; Systems engineering; numerisk analys; system; control; Datalogi; numerical analysis; systems; Data Flow Graphs; Data Flow Modlling; computer technology; Data- och systemvetenskap; Computer science; Hardware Compilation; Synthesis;

    Abstract : Digital systems are integrated in our environment and have become a natural part of our every day life. As we rely more on these systems our expectations on them increases. We expect them to perform new tasks, communicate and cooperate. The complexity of these systems are increasing. READ MORE

  2. 7. Digital Power of Attorney for Authorization in Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems

    Author : Sreelakshmi Vattaparambil Sudarsan; Olov Schelén; Ulf Bodin; Jerker Delsing; Panagiotis Papadimitratos; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cyberfysiska system; Cyber-Physical Systems;

    Abstract : Since ancient times, there has been a practice to authorize individuals that we trust. Today, we grant credentials and privileges digitally, making authorization a crucial part of security control and extending its use cases beyond people and web applications. READ MORE

  3. 8. Subject retrieval in web-based library catalogs

    Author : Koraljka Golub; Jadranka Lasić-Lazić; Department of Information Science Filozofski fakultet u Zagrebu; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; British university libraries; Croatian university libraries; Indexing and retrieval systems; Online library catalogs; Subject access points; Subject retrieval; User interface; User search behavior; WebPACs; Library and Information Science; Biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap;

    Abstract : This thesis has been motivated by past research, problems and realizations that online library catalog users frequently perform subject searches – using keywords, subject headings and descriptors – and these searches have yielded unsatisfactory results. Web-based catalogs or WebPACs (Web-based Online Public Access Catalogs), belonging to the so-called third generation of online catalogs and providing a wide variety of search options, remain largely underutilized despite the continuous advancement of information retrieval systems. 4. 9. Taken for Granted – The Construction of Order in the Process of Library Management System Decision Making

    Author : Nasrine Olson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Library Management Systems; System Selection Process within Libraries; Library System Procurement process; Consequences of Decision Making; Methodological Symmetry; Duality of Structure in Decision Making Process; Construction of Conceptual Order; Construction of Social Order; library management systems;

    Abstract : This thesis is an empirically based, theoretical discussion of the process of decision making in relation to Library Management Systems (LMS). Although the conceptualization of the LMS decision process in rational terms, common in many LMS selection models, may be useful in different respects, here the process is viewed from a social constructivist stance.
