21. Defects and crystallinity control of perovskite films for light-emitting diodes
Abstract : Metal halide perovskites are promising materials for the fabrication of cost-effective and highperformance light-emitting diodes (LEDs), due to their solution processability, high photoluminescence quantum efficiencies (PLQEs) and excellent charge transport properties. Importantly, perovskite LEDs show ultra-pure emission color, which is better than that of the state-of-the-art quantum dot LEDs (QLEDs) and organic LEDs (OLEDs), demonstrating a bright application potential for realizing vivid natural colors display in the future. 22. Theoretical modeling of bipolar double-barrier resonant-tunneling light emitting diodes
Abstract : This thesis is about firms determined to gain competitive advantages from environmental demands, about the efforts of engineers employed with the challenge of fulfilling environmental performance targets and about the management and organisation of product development. It is about incremental change, built on established technological knowledge, as well as about radical technological change. READ MORE

25. Studies of Light Emitting Devices Based on Er-doped Si and SiGe Layered Structures
Abstract : Doping with rare earth element erbium (Er) in Si has recently attracted a lot of research interest due to potential applications in Si-based opto-electronics. By using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), precipitate-free Er-doping in Si has been made together with other co-dopants, e.g., oxygen (0) and fluorine (F), up to a level ∼1020 cm-3. READ MORE
