16. Clinical Perspectives on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): Long-term, Naturalistic Follow-ups in Childhood and in Adulthood
Abstract : The overall aim of this thesis was to evaluate the long-term outcome of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in childhood and in adulthood, as it is presented in typical patients in real-world settings. Study I assessed treatment outcome and predictive factors after 1 year in 253 children with ADHD. READ MORE

17. Numerical models for degradation of concrete in hydraulic structures due to long-term contact with water
Abstract : The durability of concrete is of major concern in all types of concrete structures where the combined effect of exposure conditions and the type and quality of the concrete material usually determines the rate of degradation. Furthermore, there are synergy effects between different deterioration mechanisms, which means that the combined rate of degradation is higher than the sum of the individual rates of each mechanism. 18. Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty : patient selection, long- term outcomes, and side effects
Abstract : Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) is the most common surgical treatment for adult patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Its short-term efficacy, as measured through polysomnography, is well-established and has been demonstrated in two randomized controlled trials in recent years. READ MORE

19. Long-term Performance of PVC and CSPE Cables used in Nuclear Power Plants : the Effect of Degradation and Plasticizer migration
Abstract : Enormous amounts of low voltage cables installed in a Swedish nuclear power plant are reaching their expected lifetimes. Since the cables are crucial to operational safety, it is of great importance that the actual condition of the installed cables is determined. READ MORE

20. Sagittal synostosis - surgical outcomes and long-term follow up
Abstract : The overall aim of this thesis was to evaluate and compare surgical outcomes in patients with sagittal synostosis operated with the most commonly used surgical methods in Sweden: craniotomy combined with springs, pi-plasty, or H-craniectomy. Paper I is a systematic review that identified the evidence showing that spring-assisted surgery is as efficient as more extensive cranioplasties to be of very low quality, thereby emphasizing the need for more rigorous studies.
