1. DNA methylation signatures in precursor lymphoid neoplasms : with focus on clinical implications & the biology behind
Abstract : Precursor lymphoid neoplasms, namely acute lymphoblastic leukemias (ALL) and lymphoblastic lymphomas (LBL), are characterized by an aggressive proliferation of malignant progenitor B- or T-cells. To improve risk classification at diagnosis, better prognostic and treatment stratifying biomarkers are needed. READ MORE

2. Genome-wide epigenetic profiling of B cell leukemia and lymphoma
Abstract : Epigenetic modifications, at the level of DNA methylation and post-translational modifications of histone tails cooperatively function in the organization of the genome, and thereby establish the gene expression profiles, phenotypes, and cellular fates. In this work, we investigated the aberrant epigenome in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) which is one of the most frequent lymphoid malignancies in the west including the Nordic countries. 3. Harnessing the power of model systems to investigate regulation of Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase function
Abstract : The anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), initially identified as a translocation partner in anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), has been described in a number of tumors such as neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a neural crest derived malignancy of the sympathetic nervous system. READ MORE

4. Molecular epidemiology approach : nested case-control studies in glioma and lymphoid malignancies
Abstract : BACKGROUND: Nested case-control studies aim to link molecular markers with a certain outcome. Repeated prediagnostic samples may improve the evaluation of marker-disease associations. However, data regarding the benefit of repeated samples in such studies are sparse. READ MORE

5. Intrinsic and extrinsic mechanisms for B-cell lymphoma development and progression studied by global gene expression profiling
Abstract : Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare hematopoietic malignancy characterized by frequent relapses and poor survival, partly due to minimal residual disease, whereby a subset of malignant cells, harbored in protective niches, survive treatment. In vitro and ex vivo experiments have shown that MCL cells can be rescued from apoptosis through interactions with non- malignant cells such as stromal cells. READ MORE
