  1. 16. On the Precision Grip in Manual Transport

    Author : Nasser Hosseini; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The aim of the present study was to investigate the grip and load force relations in the precision grip (between thumb and index finger) in static and dynamic situations, and to develop automatic procedures for the analysis of position and force data from tests involving the precision grip. The goal of the work was to create physiologically based methods for identification and quantitative determination of disturbances in the nervous control of hand motor function. READ MORE

  2. 17. Nonlinear Model-based Control of Automotive Powertrains

    Author : Jonas Fredriksson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; stability; diesel engine control; nonlinear control; gearshifting; air-to-fuel ratio control; drive- line oscillations; backstepping; powertrain modeling; powertrain control;

    Abstract : In recent years the focus of powertrain control has shifted perspective from control of the individual powertrain components to control of the complete powertrain, so-called integrated powertrain control. The idea presented in this thesis is to view the powertrain as one single control object and to used the engine as a torque actuator to the rest of the driveline. READ MORE

  3. 18. Automatic Parallelization of Equation-Based Simulation Programs

    Author : Peter Aronsson; Peter Fritzson; Christoph Kessler; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Heavy-duty simulation; Parallel computers; Automatic parallelization; Clustering; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Modern equation-based object-oriented modeling languages which have emerged during the past decades make it easier to build models of large and complex systems. The increasing size and complexity of modeled systems requires high performance execution of the simulation code derived from such models. READ MORE

  4. 19. Workflows in Microservice Based System of Systems

    Author : Jaime Garcia Represa; Jerker Delsing; Kåre Synnes; Michele Albano; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cyberfysiska system; Cyber-Physical Systems;

    Abstract : Social welfare has grown along with the developments of innovative technologies to ease manual work and provide affordable goods for everyone. Advances in science require time to reach practical use. However, when their impact is such as to reshape society, their industrial adoption is accelerated and they become part of modern history. 5. 20. Painting from Within : Developing and Evaluating a Manual-based Art therapy for Patients with Depression

    Author : Christina Blomdahl; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Mental Health; Major Depression; Programme Development; Art Therapy;

    Abstract : Aim: The overall aim was to develop and evaluate a manual-based art-therapy programme for patients with depression, and hence, to clarify treatment effects and to describe participants’ experiences of the treatment. The specific aims were: (I) To explore and describe how art therapy works in relation to therapeutic factors, clinical application, and circumstances in the experimental situation, for patients with depression; (II) To explore what experts in the field of art therapy consider to be the main aspects of treatment for patients with depression in clinical practice; (III) To investigate the effects of manual-based Phenomenological Art Therapy in addition to treatment as usual (PATd/TAU) compared with only treatment as usual (TAU) for patients diagnosed with moderate to severe depression; and (IV) To describe and explore the significance of manual-based Phenomenological Art Therapy as experienced by patients diagnosed with moderate to severe depression.
