1. Graded Betti Numbers and Hilbert Functions of Graded Cohen-Macaulay Modules
Abstract : In this thesis we study graded Cohen-Macaulay modules and their possible Hilbert functions and graded Betti numbers. In most cases the Cohen-Macaulay modules we study are level modules. READ MORE

2. Studies of vector tomography
Abstract : The motivation to study the kind of problems appearing in this thesis has been ultrasound measurements of flows, from which velocity spectra along lines can be determined. These velocity spectra can mathematically be described by a new non-linear transform, here called the Doppler Spectral Transform (DST). READ MORE

3. Extensions and Applications of Affine Shape
Abstract : A central problem in computer vision is to reconstruct the three-dimensional structure of a scene from a set of two-dimensional images. Traditionally this is done by extracting a set of characteristic points in the scene and to compute a reconstruction of these points. READ MORE

4. Kähler-Poisson Algebras
Abstract : In this thesis, we introduce Kähler-Poisson algebras and study their basic properties. The motivation comes from differential geometry, where one can show that the Riemannian geometry of an almost Kähler manifold can be formulated in terms of the Poisson algebra of smooth functions on the manifold. 5. On Aspects of Mathematical Reasoning : Affect and Gender
Abstract : This thesis explores two aspects of mathematical reasoning: affect and gender. I started by looking at the reasoning of upper secondary students when solving tasks. READ MORE
